Dad died early this morning. As he requested, no services are planned. On this Thanksgiving, I'm truly thankful for the many wonderful years I had with Dad. After Mom died, Dad still kept going. I think he wanted to show me that you could still have a life even after your spouse dies. Up until the last few weeks, Dad continued to do all his own cooking, cleaning and bills.

He was a remarkable man, and I'll miss him greatly. Initially, I didn't want Dad to die on my birthday, but now it seems somehow right.

I'll write and post a longer tribute soon. But, for now, thanks for all your love, support and prayers.
